Sentiment Analysis

ℹ️ This feature is only available for Standard and Enterprise subscriptions.

The Sentiment Analysis option can be used while viewing responses/comments on projects. When Sentiment Analysis is turned ON, using AI, comments will be read and automatically categorised, based on the words and phrases in the response, as:

  • Positive

  • Negative

  • Mixed

  • Neutral

This feature allows you to quickly see the bigger picture of how the community is reacting to the project.

  1. Log in to your Social Pinpoint Admin site

  2. Follow the guide below to configure the various settings and options.


Open your project.


Click on Responses and then Columns and check Sentiment.


Now you will be able to see the sentiment category for each comment in this new column. The column can also be searched and filtered.

Overriding Sentiment

As the comments are filtered and tagged by AI, it may not always be 100% accurate. For response where you believe the incorrect sentiment has been applied and you would like to override the sentiment, you are able to do this from the responses screen. Additionally, if you override the sentiment by mistake and would like to revert the sentiment back to what it was originally, you can click the Reprocess button.

This list of comments (complete or by your chosen filters) with their sentiment rating can also be exported as a CSV/Excel file.
