This guide will show you how to allow and prevent Pin Drops in layers that you have created

Within the map editor, under the base map setting Map Provider, there is a global setting to Only Allow Pin Drops In Layers. When this is checked, stakeholders will only be able to drop pins within layers you have created. When this setting is turned on and a pin is dropped outside the layer, an error message will appear (image below).

The above setting is global. However, there may be times where you want to allow pin drops in some layers but not others. If this is the case, within the map editor under the specific layer that you want to stop pins being dropped, turn the setting Prevent Pin Drops on under Layer Options. Now, stakeholders will not be able to drop pins within this specific layer.
